Our inspiration comes from the abundant variety of faces that populate Indonesia, a country home to an exceptionally vast range of local cultures.
Historically, uncountable indigenous kingdoms and tribes co-existed harmoniously and respectfully across the massive archipelago despite the undeniable differences between them. Our country has endured multiple invasions and our colonizers left an ugly mark on the nation – Eurocentric beauty standards. This shift in the definition of beauty trained our eyes to overlook the beauty in Indonesian faces.
